TMike and Rebecca's wedding told their story like none other. It was absolutely "them" and just beautiful as well! They chose the White Magnolia in Kentwood, Louisiana as their venue. (One of my favorites!) The weather was sunny and cool! The day began with getting ready photos, of course, that included a large bridal party with so many wonderful friends and family. Each bridesmaid had their own matching robes and personalized tumblers with a gator and magnolias on it. Mom was calm and cool as was Rebecca. The day they had done so much planning for was finally here.

The Family

TMike, in South Louisiana, is known as "The Gator King." His family owns a "farm" that has classic southern animals and people. It's called "Kliebert and Sons Gator Tours " and is located in Ponchatoula, LA. Ironically enough, I remember going there as a child and my parents letting us pet the alligator while we were there so when I first talked to Rebecca, I was ecstatic to even be considered for their wedding! It was like their family was a small piece of my own childhood! Three generations of Kliebert's have run the family business and it is definitely a place worth going! If you're ever in the area, don't miss this place!!! TMike and Rebecca are both just wonderful people. TMike is more of a jokester while Rebecca is more quiet. They are both so so kind and understanding. Their kindness and consideration for others make it obvious to me why they get along so well since that is definitely something they have in common. I'm so glad we became friends through all of the wedding planning and I'm so happy to have another bride and groom to now call "friends." :-)

Details

Their wedding had some of the sweetest, thoughtful details I have ever seen! The groom had a song written specifically for the bride. Mom and Rebecca had even brought ME a gift! :-0 TMike and Rebecca exchanged personalized wedding gifts. The bride and groom's details both had pictures of their loved ones that had gone before. The bride's father had recently passed and during the "Father/Daughter" dance, she danced with her mom and siblings to a slideshow with a special song that reminded them of their loved one. Rebecca wore a ring that was historical as well. Instead of a first look, TMike and Rebecca read their vows around a corner to each other and told how much they loved each other. The small details and moments of their wedding were just precious!

The Ceremony

Of course, this wedding wouldn't be complete without a real, live alligator as part of the bridal party! TMike held an alligator as he walked down the aisle and Rebecca was just exquisite as her brother walked her down the aisle. There were smiles everywhere! We were reminded during the ceremony about God's love for us and how He made marriage for our enjoyment. As soon as the ceremony was over, we stepped away for a brief moment to get photos of the newly married couple!

The Reception

The reception was a party! Complete with happy tears and a second line, TMike and Rebecca's reception was definitely a celebration of their love. There was dancing, singing, and yummy food. By the time the night was over, the bride, groom, groom's father, and others had already changed to be in more comfortable clothes. The party was on!
