THE WALLEY'S BENEDICT'S PLANTATION WEDDING | MANDEVILLE, LA

Gracie and Grant’s wedding day at Benedict’s Plantation was one of those days that reminds us why trust in your vendors matters so much on a wedding day. From the moment we arrived, the weather kept us on our toes. Rain poured down steadily, creating a day that could have easily felt stressful—but instead, it became something truly special.

These two were absolute gems from the very start. Gracie and Grant were referred to us by another sweet couple whose wedding we photographed about two years ago, and it is always such an honor when past couples trust us enough to send their friends our way. Referrals like that truly mean the world to us and speak volumes about the relationships we build with our couples.

From the very beginning, Gracie and Grant were kind, calm, and completely present with one another, even as the weather tried its best to steal the show. They approached the day with so much grace, choosing to focus on what truly mattered—each other and the commitment they were about to make—rather than letting circumstances dictate the mood. Their joy was steady, genuine, and contagious, setting the tone for a beautiful wedding day from start to finish.

Despite the rain, we were still able to capture some truly amazing portraits. Gracie and Grant trusted our judgment fully, leaned into the moment, and allowed us to get creative—and that trust made all the difference. Their willingness to go with the flow gave us space to create images that feel authentic, romantic, and timeless, proving once again that a little rain can’t stop a beautiful love story.

Right before the ceremony, the rain finally stopped, almost as if it knew exactly when to step aside. With standing room only, friends and family gathered together at Benedict’s Plantation to witness Gracie and Grant say their vows. The ceremony felt intimate, joyful, and full of love, surrounded by the people who mean the most to them.

Once the ceremony wrapped up, the celebration truly began. Gracie and Grant spent the rest of the evening laughing, dancing, and soaking in every moment with their family and friends. The atmosphere was warm, joyful, and full of genuine happiness—exactly the kind of celebration that reflects who they are as a couple.
